Xi Jinping extended his congratulations to Tajikistan on the 35th anniversary of its independence and on the significant achievements it has made in national development. He emphasized that steadfast mutual support lies at the heart of China–Tajikistan relations. Regardless of how the external environment may change, the two countries will always remain good neighbors who stand by one another, sincere and trustworthy friends, and partners working together for shared development. The signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between China and Tajikistan will fully demonstrate the high level of political mutual trust between the two nations and provide a solid foundation for enduring friendship across generations. China stands ready to work with Tajikistan to build an even closer China–Tajikistan community with a shared future, thereby delivering greater benefits to the peoples of both countries.
Xi Jinping emphasized that China will, as always, support Tajikistan in pursuing a development path suited to its national conditions and in safeguarding its national independence, sovereignty, and security. This year marks the beginning of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period, while Tajikistan is also vigorously advancing its National Development Strategy through 2030. Both sides should take high-quality joint Belt and Road cooperation as the main thread, deeply align their development strategies, and contribute to the realization of their respective development goals. They should consolidate the positive momentum in economic and trade cooperation, tap into untapped potential, and simultaneously enhance both the scale and quality of trade and investment; ensure the smooth implementation of key projects; expand cooperation in green energy, the digital economy, smart cities, artificial intelligence, and other fields; and boost innovation-driven growth. Furthermore, they should deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, forge new models of local-level cooperation, and foster greater mutual understanding and affinity between the peoples of the two countries. Finally, they should strengthen law enforcement and security cooperation, resolutely combat the “three forces,” and jointly uphold regional stability. China welcomes Tajikistan’s accession to the International Mediation Institute and stands ready to enhance cooperation within frameworks such as the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the China–Central Asia mechanism, practice true multilateralism, and advance the building of a more just and equitable global governance system.
Rahmon stated that in the new era, the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Tajikistan and China continues to deepen and expand. Cooperation in trade, investment, transportation, agriculture, and other fields has yielded fruitful results; major projects are progressing smoothly; and people-to-people and cultural exchanges are growing ever closer, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries. Today, the two sides signed the Treaty of Permanent Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between Tajikistan and China, marking a new historical stage in bilateral relations and opening up fresh prospects for long-term cooperation. Taiwan is an inseparable part of China, and Tajikistan firmly adheres to the one-China principle. Tajikistan looks forward to strengthening practical cooperation with China in key areas such as critical minerals, artificial intelligence, and scientific and technological innovation; facilitating personnel exchanges; enhancing educational collaboration; and advancing bilateral relations to achieve even greater progress. President Xi Jinping’s Global Governance Initiative holds profound significance for the world. Tajikistan highly commends China’s tireless efforts to seek political solutions to international flashpoints and its important role in easing tensions in the Middle East. Tajikistan stands ready to bolster multilateral cooperation with China, jointly combat the “three forces” and transnational crime, and safeguard regional stability.
