Wang Jianping, Deputy Secretary-General, on behalf of Hu Kaiqiang, Director-General of the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States and Deputy Director of the Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Affairs, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, extended a warm welcome to Xu Chaohui and his delegation.
Xu Chaohui stated that Jinjiang is one of the most important footwear and apparel industry hubs in China and worldwide, boasting a highly integrated industrial chain, a strong cluster of brands, and substantial production capacity. He expressed the hope that, by leveraging the platform, they can explore the establishment of an SCO footwear and apparel industrial ecosystem led by local anchor enterprises in Jinjiang.
Tang Shanglin, Chairman of Phoenix (Hong Kong) Industrial Development Co., Ltd., stated that the company was founded in 2000 and its business spans footwear and apparel ODM and trading, physical manufacturing and sales of footwear and apparel, the beauty industry, commercial real estate, project investment, hospitality, and bulk commodity trading. At present, trade barriers in Europe and the United States are becoming increasingly pronounced. The company hopes to leverage its platform to actively expand into the markets of SCO member states, thereby helping to explore new models and pathways for high-quality overseas expansion.
The platform notes that, as a non-profit international economic and trade organization, it brings together market entities of diverse ownership structures to build an international ecosystem for industrial innovation through industry-specific working committees, with the aim of breaking down barriers to cooperation among enterprises of different ownership types and laying the foundation for a global realignment of productive forces.
Hu Jianping, Chairperson of Ai Nongjia Yuan Brand Management (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., and Wu Liyuan, Deputy Director of the Office, as well as Xu Yuan, Deputy General Manager of Phoenix (Hong Kong) Industrial, and Tu Qiang, Director of Operations, attended the meeting.
