Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 26 — In accordance with relevant regulations of the Party Central Committee, members of the Political Bureau and Secretariat, members of the Party groups in the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the State Council, and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, as well as Party group leaders of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate, have recently submitted written reports on their work for 2025 to the Party Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping. Xi Jinping reviewed these reports and put forward important instructions.
Xi Jinping emphasized that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and also the inaugural year of the 14th Five-Year Plan. We must adhere to the guiding principles of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC and the resolutions of all plenary sessions of the 20th Central Committee, and earnestly carry out the arrangements made at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee. We should strengthen our “four consciousnesses,” firmly uphold our “four self-confidences,” and ensure we “two safeguards,” always maintaining high consistency with the Party Central Committee in thought, politics, and action. We must enhance our sense of political responsibility and historical mission, and translate the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee into concrete actions. Within the scope of our respective responsibilities, we should proactively step up and take initiative, uphold the general tone of seeking progress while maintaining stability, fully, accurately, and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy, solidly promote high-quality development, better balance development and security, continuously safeguard and improve people’s livelihoods, maintain social harmony and stability, and ensure a good start to the 14th Five-Year Plan. We must strictly enforce the spirit of the Central Committee’s Eight-Point Regulation and its detailed implementation rules, always remain clear-headed and morally upright, and set an example and lead by demonstration in being firm in belief, pragmatic, responsible, and self-disciplined. We should take the lead in establishing and practicing a correct view of official achievements, adhering to reality-based approaches and following objective laws, and strive to deliver tangible results for the people through practical and diligent efforts. We must conscientiously fulfill our political responsibility for comprehensively enforcing strict Party governance, promoting simultaneously the prevention of corruption, the ability to prevent corruption, and the willingness not to be corrupt, and thus fostering a clean and upright political environment.
