Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, January 29 - Reporters learned on the 29th that China and the UK reached a series of positive outcomes during UK Prime Minister Starmer's visit to China.
1. Both sides are committed to developing a long-term stable comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UK.
2. Agreed to establish a China-UK High-Level Climate and Nature Partnership.
3. Resumption of China-UK High-Level Security Dialogue.
4. To hold a new round of strategic dialogue, economic and financial dialogue, and China-UK Joint Economic and Trade Committee meetings within the year.
5. In principle, agreed to resume normal exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries. China welcomes UK parliamentarians who are willing to visit China to understand the real China.
6. Held the China-UK Entrepreneurs Committee meeting and agreed to further strengthen bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
7. Both sides welcomed the establishment of the China-UK Financial Working Group and held its first meeting. Welcomed Bank of China's London branch as the second RMB clearing bank in the UK, and will jointly hold the China-UK Insurance Forum.
8. China is actively considering implementing a unilateral visa-free policy for UK citizens.
9. China will reduce the import tariff rate on whisky from 10% to 5%.
10. The leaders of the two countries witnessed the signing of 12 intergovernmental cooperation documents in areas including trade and economy, agriculture and food, culture, market regulation, and law enforcement cooperation.
11. Both sides also reached multiple cooperation documents in finance, health, media, education, and other fields.
