Hu Kaiqiang Meets with Ren Hongwei, Deputy Director of Urumqi Economic Development Zone Administrative Committee and Deputy District Chief of Toutunhe District

Hu Kaiqiang, Director-General of the National Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chongqing CPPCC welcomed Ren Hongwei and his entourage.
Ren Hongwei introduced the economic and social development of Urumqi Economic Development Zone. He said that China (Xinjiang) pilot free trade zone has been officially approved for construction. As an important bearing area of Urumqi area, the pilot reform is being carried out in the construction of open industrial system, innovation and development of foreign trade, exchange and cooperation. We hope to strengthen exchanges with the platform, explore and promote cooperation between the two sides in the fields of international trade, industrial introduction and comprehensive service platform construction, and promote the high-level opening and high-quality development of the economic development zone in science and technology, education, medical care, energy, trade, financial services and other industries.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform insists on carrying forward the "Shanghai Spirit" and deeply implements the resolutions of the SCO Heads of State Council. Focusing on the core task of "building a new ecology of integration between digital economy and traditional economy", the platform promotes the construction of a collaborative innovation ecology of SCO national industries led by the "chain owners" of Chinese enterprises through the integration of various ownership market entities with the industry working committee, and helps local governments to attract investment, strive to break through the barriers of cooperation between enterprises of different ownerships and lay the foundation for the global redistribution of productivity. We are willing to join hands with Urumqi Economic Development Zone to explore a new model of coordinated development between international economic and trade organizations and local governments.
Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Guangfu introduced the platform's innovative operation model and construction and development results.
