BEIJING, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) — On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Central Socialist College, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, sent a congratulatory letter.

In his congratulatory letter, Xi Jinping pointed out that over the past 70 years, the Central Socialist College has remained true to its mission of “upholding the socialist character,” cultivating a large number of non‑Party representatives who share the same ideals and aspirations as the Communist Party of China and work in solidarity and strive together, thereby making significant contributions to consolidating and developing the patriotic united front.

Xi Jinping emphasized that, at this new starting point, he hopes you will take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as your guiding principle, firmly uphold the correct direction in running the institution, continuously strengthen political training, broadly build political consensus, and constantly elevate the quality of teaching, research, and institutional governance. He further urged you to play an even more prominent role in cultivating talent for the United Front, conducting theoretical research, and promoting the Party’s principles and policies, thereby better serving the overall work of the Party and the country.

The celebration大会 marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Central Socialist College was held in Beijing on the 20th. During the event, a congratulatory letter from Xi Jinping was read aloud. Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, attended and addressed the gathering.

In his address, Wang Huning stated that General Secretary Xi Jinping had specially sent an important congratulatory letter to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Central Socialist College, fully affirming the achievements and contributions it has made over the past seven decades, and profoundly outlining the directions and requirements for strengthening the College’s development and enhancing its role in the new era and on the new journey. This letter underscores General Secretary Xi Jinping’s high regard for the United Front and the cause of multi‑party cooperation, as well as his warm concern for the Central Socialist College, providing crucial guidance for advancing the work of socialist colleges. Wang Huning stated that over the past 70 years, the CPC Central Committee has consistently attached great importance to and shown deep concern for the development of the Socialist Colleges. Particularly since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, the CPC Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, has, with a view to the long-term development of the United Front and the cause of multi‑party cooperation, made important arrangements to strengthen the education and training of United Front personnel and to enhance the work of the Socialist Colleges, thereby guiding and propelling these institutions to achieve new progress in the new era.
