Recently, at the invitation of Nambar Enkhbayar, former president of Mongolia and honorary chairman of the Shanghai Cooperation Economic and Trade Platform, as well as the Mongolia-China Belt and Road Pillar Business Association, the Shanghai Cooperation Economic and Trade Platform Economic and Trade Platform Economic and Trade Delegation went to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia for a week-long in-depth study visit.
Enkhbayar said that the special invitation of representatives of the Shanghai Cooperation Economic and Trade Platform to Ulaanbaatar for exchanges aims to further strengthen international cooperation between the two sides in related industries, deepen economic and trade cooperation between Mongolia and Chongqing, and form more new results in people-to-people exchanges.
"In May 2022, Ulaanbaatar and Chongqing will become sister cities." Ulaanbaatar Mayor H. Nyambaatar said that he is willing to actively promote the establishment of cooperation between Ulaanbaatar and international NGO organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Economic and Trade Platform, promote bilateral economic and trade exchanges, and achieve common development. We hope to jointly help Ulaanbaatar to build a world-class benchmark in priority development areas such as infrastructure construction, shantytown renovation and mining.
Wu Shaobo, Special Representative of the Director-General of the SCO Economic and Trade Platform, conveyed Director-General Hu Kaiqiang's greetings to the former President of Enkhbayar, and introduced the operation model and development of the SCO Economic and Trade Platform, and shared in detail the experience of Chongqing's urban planning and infrastructure construction. In-depth exchanges on key areas of concern and related issues in Ulaanbaatar.
In order to better promote the deepening and practical cooperation between the two sides, the two sides decided to establish the Shanghai Cooperation Economic and Trade Platform and the Ulaanbaatar City Key Project Work Leading Group to coordinate and promote specific matters of cooperation in related projects.
At the same time, the delegation held a discussion with Vasilyev, Russia's general commercial representative in Mongolia, and reached a consensus on jointly participating in the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor and further promoting industrial cooperation with Central Asian countries. Mongolia's current installed power capacity, power grid load, next power planning and design and construction of the second power plant, new energy industry development status and planning, etc., and reached cooperation intentions in many fields.
During the inspection, the delegation visited Jumbo Mongolia Group to establish a working mechanism for the next all-round cooperation; went to Ulaanbaatar's national shed reform project, logistics port, and many well-known state-owned enterprises and private enterprises to conduct field visits and exchanges to enhance mutual understanding And cooperation and mutual trust have laid a solid foundation for the establishment of larger and deeper international cooperation between the two parties.
