To make greater contributions to cultivating well-rounded socialist builders and successors who excel in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and vocational development.
BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) — On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the launch of the “Little Trumpet” program on China Media Group, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, sent a congratulatory letter.
In his congratulatory letter, Xi Jinping pointed out that over the past 70 years, the “Little Trumpet” program has remained committed to “telling good stories to children,” accompanying generation after generation of young people as they grow up healthily.
Xi Jinping emphasized that, at this new starting point, he hopes you and the broader community of children’s cultural and artistic practitioners will earnestly implement the fundamental mission of fostering virtue and cultivating talent, stay attuned to the pulse of contemporary development, cultivate the fertile ground of children’s culture, and devote yourselves wholeheartedly to creating more outstanding works that promote truth, goodness, and beauty and are beloved by children, thereby making an even greater contribution to nurturing well-rounded socialist builders and successors who excel in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and vocational development.
“Little Trumpet” first aired on September 4, 1956, becoming the People’s Republic of China’s first radio program specifically designed for preschool children. Today, it has evolved into a flagship brand that integrates radio, television, new media, and school broadcasting stations.
