Zhang Lei, Director of the Manufacturing Investment Promotion Division of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, paid a visit to the platform.
Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Guangfu, on behalf of Hu Kaiqiang, Director-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, extended a welcome to Zhang Lei and his delegation.
Zhang Lei outlined the work of the Manufacturing Investment Promotion Division of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, highlighting its proactive role in strengthening coordinated investment promotion across industrial sectors, fostering cooperation and exchanges among manufacturing enterprises, and supporting the high-quality development of the “33618” modern manufacturing cluster system. He expressed his hope that, by leveraging the platform’s resource advantages, Chongqing will actively participate in high-level international economic and trade forums and conferences of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, deepen exchanges and cooperation with SCO countries in areas such as industrial collaboration, technological exchange, and cross-border project matchmaking, and jointly contribute to the high‑quality development of Chongqing’s manufacturing sector and the internationalization of its industrial landscape.
The platform notes that, as a non‑profit international economic and trade organization, it brings together market entities of diverse ownership forms and establishes industry working committees to build an international ecosystem for industrial innovation. It seeks to dismantle barriers to cooperation among enterprises with different ownership structures, thereby laying the groundwork for a global realignment of productive forces.
Cao Yuxiang, an official from the Manufacturing Investment Promotion Division of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology; Luo Peng, Chairman of Jiangsu Yuyu Investment Co., Ltd.; and Xie Mengkun from the Platform Project Development Department attended the meeting.
