Hu Kaiqiang, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee’s Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs, welcomed Zhang Dongtao and his delegation. Liu Jie, Deputy Secretary-General, accompanied the meeting.
As a partner of Hefei Zhilian Future Equity Investment Partnership, Zhang Dongtao explained that the Anhui Huishang Development Promotion Association (referred to as “Huishang Promotion Association”) was originally established in 2014 as the Central and Western Huishang Presidents’ Alliance, approved by the Anhui Federation of Industry and Commerce. Today, it comprises more than 300 member enterprises, spanning high‑tech, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and service sectors. The association is committed to promoting Huishang culture, pooling complementary resources, and injecting strong momentum into the high‑quality development of Huishang entrepreneurs in the new era. It hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the platform, leveraging its cross‑border collaboration channels and bridging capabilities to initiate the establishment of a working committee focused on science and technology innovation, thereby helping Anhui’s science‑and‑technology enterprises expand overseas in a high‑quality manner.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform remains committed to upholding the “Shanghai Spirit” and earnestly implements the resolutions adopted at previous summits of the heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Centered on the core mission of “building a new SCO ecosystem characterized by the deep integration of the digital and traditional economies,” the platform leverages industry working committees to bring together market entities of diverse ownership forms, thereby fostering an industrial‑collaborative innovation ecosystem in SCO member states led by Chinese enterprises serving as “chain‑leading” firms. This effort supports local governments in attracting investment and seeks to dismantle barriers to cooperation among enterprises with different ownership structures, while exploring the establishment of “SCO standards” to lay the groundwork for a global realignment of productive forces.
Liu Jie chaired the symposium, presenting the platform’s innovative operational model and its achievements in construction and development, with a particular focus on sharing successful cases of international cooperation involving the platform’s relevant working committees. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on issues of mutual interest.
