Hu Kaiqiang, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee’s Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs, welcomed Wen Yunxia and her delegation. The meeting was attended by Zhang Guangfu, Deputy Secretary-General.
Wen Yunxia outlined the company’s efforts and achievements in recent years in advancing international exchanges among young people, vocational education, and global employment. She expressed hope to strengthen cooperation and exchange with the platform, leveraging the respective strengths of both sides to help the company deepen its integration into the fields of international youth exchanges and educational development within the SCO and the countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. This will create a broad platform for enabling more young people to embrace the “Shanghai Spirit” and the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind from an early age, cultivate cross-cultural communication skills, and broaden their global perspectives, thereby making a positive contribution to building an even closer SCO community of shared humanistic values.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform remains committed to upholding the “Shanghai Spirit” and earnestly implements the resolutions adopted at previous summits of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Council. Centered on the core mission of “building a new SCO ecosystem characterized by the deep integration of the digital and traditional economies,” the platform leverages industry working committees to bring together market entities of diverse ownership forms, thereby fostering an industrial‑collaborative innovation ecosystem in SCO member states led by Chinese enterprises serving as “chain‑leading” firms. This initiative supports local governments in attracting investment, seeks to dismantle barriers to cooperation among enterprises with different ownership structures, and explores the establishment of “SCO standards,” laying the groundwork for a global realignment of productive forces.
Zhang Guangfu chaired the symposium, presenting the platform’s innovative operational model and its achievements in construction and development, with a particular focus on sharing successful cases of international cooperation from the platform’s relevant working committees. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on issues of mutual interest.
