Hu Kaiqiang, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the CPPCC Chongqing Municipal Committee’s Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs, welcomed Zhao Wei and his delegation. Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Guangfu accompanied the meeting.
Zhao Wei outlined the company’s development and progress, highlighting its current status and future plans in the cultural sector and in investments within the new‑energy industry. In recent years, the company has proactively positioned itself along the international building‑materials industry chain and supply chain, with a particular focus on expanding overseas operations for building materials, including stone products. He also reported on the preparatory work for an international supply‑chain services working committee, which the company is spearheading. He expressed his hope that, by leveraging the platform’s extensive domestic and international industrial resources and collaborative channels, the committee can be swiftly established and launched, thereby playing a constructive role in fostering a more stable, mutually beneficial, and win‑win international building‑materials supply‑chain ecosystem.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform remains committed to upholding the “Shanghai Spirit” and earnestly implements the resolutions adopted at previous summits of the heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Centered on the core mission of “building a new SCO ecosystem characterized by the deep integration of the digital and traditional economies,” the platform leverages industry working committees to bring together market entities of diverse ownership forms, thereby fostering an industrial collaborative innovation ecosystem in SCO member states led by Chinese enterprises serving as “chain‑leading” firms. It also supports local governments in attracting investment, seeks to dismantle barriers to cooperation among enterprises with different ownership structures, and explores the establishment of “SCO standards,” laying the groundwork for a global realignment of productive forces.
Zhang Guangfu chaired the symposium, presenting the platform’s innovative operational model and its achievements in construction and development. He highlighted successful cases of international cooperation involving the platform’s relevant working committees, while Qiu Rong from the Platform’s Project Expansion Department also took part. The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on issues of mutual interest.
Qin Zongbo, Chairman of the Platform’s Free Trade Development Committee, Liu Weiyi, Chief Advisor of Xiuping Cultural Industry (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Zhang Mingze of Beijing Yinglan Financial International Group, and other relevant personnel attended the meeting.
