Recently, Murat Sheyitnepesov, Chairman of the Pan-Caspian Association, led a delegation on successive visits to the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the SCO Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform, with the aim of deepening and advancing multi-sectoral cooperation—covering trade, investment, and other areas—between the Pan-Caspian region and the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
During a visit to the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Pan-Caspian Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Exchange Center of the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, thereby establishing new bridges and channels for advancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of investment and technology.
Sheyitnepesov stated that the establishment of a deep coordination mechanism between the Pan-Caspian Association and the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will further deepen the implementation of specific cooperation initiatives across various fields under the SCO’s overall cooperation framework, thereby jointly fostering more substantial and fruitful outcomes in regional cooperation between the Pan-Caspian region and the SCO member states.
The Greater Caspian Association (GCA), established in 2016 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing global connectivity and development across the Greater Caspian Region. The GCA’s work spans multiple domains, including fostering commercial, scientific, and cultural linkages between the region and the rest of the world, promoting innovation and the application of technology, and supporting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
