Secretary-General Wen Jixu, on behalf of Hu Kaiqiang, Director-General of the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States and Deputy Director of the Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Affairs, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, extended a warm welcome to Zhang Yuanfei and his delegation. The meeting was attended by Wang Jianping, Deputy Secretary-General of the Platform.
Zhang Yuanfei provided an overview of Junshi Venture Capital’s business development, with a particular focus on the firm’s investment strategy and core expertise in strategic emerging technology sectors such as semiconductors, new energy, advanced materials, and high-end equipment. He expressed the hope that, by leveraging the platform’s resource advantages, the company will strengthen exchanges and collaboration with SCO member states in areas including technological innovation, industrial investment, and cross-border project partnerships, thereby jointly identifying international cooperation opportunities in emerging industries and supporting enterprises’ global expansion and regional industrial synergy.
Wen Jixu chaired the symposium and outlined the platform’s innovative operational model and its achievements in construction and development, with a particular focus on the platform’s pioneering initiatives in fostering emerging technologies and industrial investment among Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states. He emphasized that, as a non-profit international economic and trade organization, the platform brings together market entities of diverse ownership structures to establish an international ecosystem for industrial innovation through industry-specific working committees, striving to dismantle barriers to cooperation among enterprises of different ownership types and thereby laying the groundwork for a global realignment of productive forces.
