BEIJING, April 17 (Xinhua) — On April 17, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Ismaïl Omar Guelleh on his re-election as President of the Republic of Djibouti.
Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Djibouti enjoy a time-honored and deep-rooted friendship. In recent years, political mutual trust between the two countries has continued to strengthen, and practical cooperation has yielded abundant results. President Guelleh has long been committed to promoting China-Djibouti friendship and exchanges and cooperation in various fields, for which I express my appreciation.
