BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) — Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, met in Beijing on March 25 with King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia and Queen Mother Monineath.
Cai Qi stated that, regardless of how the international landscape may change, China-Cambodia friendship has always stood the test of time and grown ever stronger. Last April, President Xi Jinping and King Norodom Sihamoni jointly elevated China-Cambodia relations to a new-era, all-weather community with a shared future. China stands ready to work with Cambodia, guided by the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, to enhance strategic mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and continuously achieve new successes in building this all-weather community with a shared future.
Norodom Sihamoni and Hun Sen stated that the rock-solid friendship between Cambodia and China was personally forged by the elder-generation leaders of both countries and has remained unwavering and constant. The Cambodian side is firmly committed to the One-China principle, supports the major concepts and initiatives put forward by President Xi Jinping, and stands ready to strengthen cooperation with China across all fields, enhance multilateral coordination and collaboration, and jointly inject greater certainty into a world fraught with turbulence and uncertainty.
