Deepening China-Russia Educational Cooperation
Delegation from the Moscow Aviation Institute Visits China
Recently, a delegation from the International Department of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) successfully concluded an official visit to China, during which it visited Northwestern Polytechnical University, Chongqing University, the Education Cooperation Alliance of the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States, and Chongqing Vocational College of Aerospace Technology, thereby advancing in-depth and substantive joint talent development and research collaboration.

First Stop: Mo Hang–Xidian University Joint Institute
The delegation’s first stop was the Moscow Aviation Institute–Northwestern Polytechnical University Joint Institute, located at Northwestern Polytechnical University. Currently, the institute has a total of 204 enrolled students. Starting this semester, a team of Russian-language instructors dispatched by the Moscow Aviation Institute has officially begun teaching at Northwestern Polytechnical University. During the visit, the two sides held a working meeting, focusing on in-depth exchanges regarding curriculum organization and arrangements as well as efforts to enhance the quality of talent development. To enrich students’ campus cultural life, the delegation also organized a special lecture on Russian culture and brought traditional Russian desserts to share with faculty and students.

Visit to the Second Stop: Chongqing University and the SCO Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform
Following the conclusion of their Xi’an visit, the delegation traveled to Chongqing and toured the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States. The platform’s Education Alliance is increasingly serving as a vital bridge for international educational cooperation among Russia, China, and other SCO member states.
During the visit, representatives from the Mozambique Civil Aviation Authority exchanged views with their Chinese counterparts on deepening cooperation in higher education and scientific research. Both sides expressed their desire to further advance such collaboration, with the aim of jointly cultivating more highly qualified professionals to support the development of the aerospace industries in both countries. In addition, the delegation paid a special visit to Chongqing University and Chongqing Vocational College of Aerospace Technology.
, and conducted in-depth discussions with the two universities on the prospects for launching joint education programs.
A delegation from the Moscow Aviation Institute stated that such mutual visits not only promote the advancement of science and technology but also further strengthen the cultural ties between Russia and China. Moving forward, both sides will continue to strive to enhance the quality of education and to advance the launch and implementation of joint projects.
