Hu Kaiqiang, Director General of the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States and Deputy Director of the Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese, and Foreign Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, welcomed Lü Dongshuo and his delegation. Liu Jie, Deputy Secretary-General, accompanied the meeting.
Lü Dongshuo focused on introducing the basic information about the “Bailu Association,” a club comprising billion-yuan-level sellers in China’s cross-border e-commerce export industry. He stated that the Bailu Association is primarily designed as a commercial community for cross-border e-commerce businesses, with its members consisting mainly of Chinese enterprises in the cross-border export e-commerce sector whose annual revenues reach hundreds of millions of yuan. The association has established a business collaboration network covering multiple areas such as supply chain management and brand operations. Currently, the total annual cross-border sales volume of the club’s member companies stands at around 300 billion yuan. Lü expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the platform, leveraging the club’s existing advantages—including overseas trade channels, industrial chain resources, and industry-specific technology patents—to align with high-standard international economic and trade norms and rules. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of exploring the development of relevant standards for China’s cross-border trade industry, thereby helping more Chinese cross-border e-commerce enterprises to go global in a more standardized and high-quality manner.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform remains committed to promoting the “Shanghai Spirit” and thoroughly implementing the resolutions adopted by the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member countries. Focusing on the core task of “building a new SCO ecosystem that deeply integrates the digital economy with the traditional economy,” the platform leverages industry working committees to bring together market entities of various ownership structures, thereby fostering a collaborative innovation ecosystem for SCO countries led by Chinese enterprises serving as “chain leaders.” This initiative supports local governments in attracting investment and seeks to break down barriers to cooperation among enterprises of different ownership types, exploring the establishment of “SCO standards” and laying the foundation for a global realignment of productive forces.
Liu Jie chaired the symposium and introduced the platform’s innovative operational model as well as its achievements in construction and development. He focused on sharing successful cases of international cooperation involving the platform’s relevant working committees. Daya, from the platform’s project expansion department, also attended the symposium. Both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on topics of mutual concern.
