Deputy Secretary-General Liu Jie, on behalf of Hu Kaiqiang, Director General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, welcomed Wang Kai and his delegation from the First Division for State-Owned Enterprise Transactions of the Shenzhen United Property Exchange.
Wang Kai introduced that the Shenzhen United Property Exchange (referred to as the "United Exchange") was established in 2009 by the Shenzhen Municipal Government through the integration of the former Shenzhen Property Exchange and the Shenzhen International High-Tech Property Exchange. It is the city’s sole comprehensive property trading institution. As an important member enterprise of the Shenzhen Trading Group, it is also one of the six nationwide central enterprises holding “full licenses” for state-owned asset transactions, as well as one of the first 12 centrally-managed financial enterprises nationwide authorized to conduct state-owned equity transactions. He stated that the United Exchange is currently exploring the establishment of a national property trading market that integrates services for both domestic and overseas transactions involving property rights, creditor’s rights, equity interests, and intellectual property rights. The United Exchange looks forward to working closely with the platform to explore exchanges with SCO member countries in areas such as cross-border circulation of state-owned assets, alignment with mixed-ownership reform projects, and cooperation in property rights markets, thereby creating a specialized platform service to facilitate the efficient allocation of capital factors and the integration of industrial resources within the region.
The platform points out that, as a non-profit international economic and trade organization, it integrates market entities of various ownership structures and builds an international ecosystem for industrial innovation through industry working committees. It strives to break down barriers to cooperation among enterprises with different ownership models, thereby laying the foundation for a global realignment of productive forces.
To better leverage the strengths of both sides and actively support the internationalization strategies of central state-owned enterprises, the International Exchange Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen United Exchange. Using the platform’s relevant working committees as the implementation vehicle, the two parties will jointly promote in-depth cooperation among SCO member countries, international markets, and central state-owned enterprises and their affiliated entities along the Belt and Road Initiative in areas such as overseas property rights transactions, domestic and international carbon credit trading, private equity fund share trading, and investment and financing. This collaboration will actively facilitate integration into the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative and contribute to higher-quality regional economic development.
Secretary-General Luo Yongyun, Deputy Secretary-General Chen Ran, and Luo Huiting attended the meeting.
