On February 27, the "Reception for the 76th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar" was held in Yuzhong District, Chongqing. At the invitation of the Consulate General and Consul General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Chongqing, Hu Kaiqiang, Director-General of the National Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chongqing CPPCC attended the reception.
Zhao Shiqing, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress, Feng Zimin, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office, and representatives of various consulates in Chongqing and other Chinese and foreign guests attended the meeting to congratulate.
Hu Kaiqiang congratulated Duntlin and conducted cordial and friendly exchanges on jointly promoting economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between enterprises of China and Myanmar and other SCO countries.
Duntlin delivered a speech, thanking all the guests for coming to the reception, and hoped to work with friends from all walks of life to promote China-Myanmar friendly cooperation to achieve new and greater development.
During the event, Burmese students from several universities in Chongqing sang Chinese songs and performed Myanmar Water Splashing Festival dances and other programs.
Nearly 200 people including the Chongqing Municipal People's Congress Ethnic, Religious and Overseas Chinese Affairs Foreign Affairs Committee, the heads of the Asia Office of the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office and related departments, various foreign envoys in Chongqing, and business representatives participated in the event.
