Bangla Medexpo Kicks Off, with Platform Members Helping Domestic Medical Devices Shine in Dhaka
Author:

On October 8, 2026, local time, the Fifth Bangladesh International Exhibition on Medical, Surgical, Hospital Equipment, Diagnostic Products, and Consumables (Bangla Medexpo 2026) officially opened in Dhaka. Global Jujie International Exhibition (Beijing) Co., Ltd., a member of the Health Sustainable Development Working Committee of the Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO Home), took the lead in organizing the event and providing supporting services. The company coordinated a delegation of Chinese medical device companies to participate, helping domestic medical equipment manufacturers expand into the South Asian market. The exhibition enjoyed a strong start on its opening day.

On the first day of the exhibition, the venue was bustling with visitors and business negotiations were vigorous. Chinese medical equipment companies made a prominent appearance, securing initial cooperation agreements and setting a strong start for Chinese medical device brands as they deepen their presence in the South Asian market. The outstanding performance of the Chinese delegation was underpinned by robust support from government authorities at all levels, industry associations, and the event organizers, bringing together diverse stakeholders to advance international exchanges and cooperation within China’s medical industry.

Multi‑stakeholder collaboration and concerted efforts are empowering the medical device industry to expand into overseas markets in the south.
On the day of the event, Song Yang, Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, visited the exhibition site, toured the Chinese exhibitors, and gained insights into the display of domestic medical devices and ongoing business matchmaking efforts. He offered encouragement to companies expanding overseas, underscoring the strong commitment and support of China’s overseas missions to helping Chinese medical equipment enter and grow in the South Asian market, thereby bolstering domestic enterprises’ confidence in establishing a foothold in Bangladesh and further expanding into the regional market.

The Chinese delegation’s efficient organization and successful participation in this event would not have been possible without the coordinated guidance and strong support of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the China Association for Medical Device Industry. Working together, all parties have built a bridge to connect China’s medical industry with that of South Asia, pooled high‑quality domestic resources, and showcased the technological strengths, product quality, and innovative capabilities of Chinese medical devices. This effort has steadily enhanced the brand presence of Chinese medical equipment in the South Asian region, helping domestic medical device companies tap into the untapped potential of the South Asian market.
Enhance supporting services and facilitate cross-border industrial linkages.
The exhibition organizer provides comprehensive business support, including a dedicated enterprise service desk and a VIP negotiation room for Chinese exhibitors, to offer domestic companies and South Asian buyers a comfortable and efficient venue for business discussions. This enhances the overall exhibition experience, boosts the efficiency of supply‑demand matching, and lays a solid foundation for fostering trade cooperation in medical equipment.
The first day of negotiations was bustling, and early reports of successful economic and trade cooperation have begun to emerge.
The exhibition venue was bustling with visitors, and buyers arrived in steady streams, yielding impressive results in business matchmaking and preliminary contract signings. This not only marked a standout performance on the first day of the Dhaka Medical Exhibition but also represented a milestone in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Economic and Trade Platform Health Sustainability Development Committee’s efforts to leverage trade fairs as a platform for advancing the international expansion of China’s medical industry.
Going forward, the Health and Sustainable Development Working Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform (SCO Home) will continue to guide its member organization, Global JuJie, in deepening its presence in the international exhibition and convention sector and in building a specialized, cross‑border platform for connecting the medical‑industry value chain. Leveraging the SCO’s economic and trade cooperation network, it will link markets across South Asia and other SCO member states, helping more high‑quality Chinese medical‑equipment brands expand into global markets, fostering deeper economic and trade integration between China’s medical industry and the South Asian region, and achieving mutual benefit, win‑win outcomes, and shared development.
