On October 11, the thematic exhibition “United as Family and Nation Toward National Rejuvenation—Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese” opened at the Museum of Chinese Overseas History in Beijing. As one of a series of events marking the federation’s 70th anniversary, the exhibition adopts a focused format to systematically highlight the remarkable journey over the past seven decades: under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the China Federation of Overseas Chinese has united and rallied overseas Chinese, their families, and compatriots abroad, while contributing to the broader national development agenda.

The exhibition, themed “Unity of Family and Nation Toward National Rejuvenation,” is organized into four major sections—“Red Origins,” “Gathering Strength to Move Forward,” “Upholding Responsibility,” and “A New Chapter for Our Times”—and features more than 400 items (sets) from the museum’s collections, including artifacts related to overseas Chinese leaders, distinguished figures, and community groups. Centered on the developmental trajectory of the Federation of Overseas Chinese under the leadership of the Party, the exhibition traces its roots back to the Yan’an Overseas Chinese National Salvation Association—the Party‑led organization of returning overseas Chinese—offering a comprehensive account of the Federation’s evolution from the revolutionary era to the present day. Grounded in its core mission of “uniting overseas Chinese and serving the nation,” the exhibition vividly reenacts the inspiring journey of overseas Chinese communities, who, under the Party’s leadership, have devoted themselves to the great cause of national rejuvenation, thereby highlighting their profound sense of shared destiny and unwavering commitment to the motherland.
The exhibition will be on display until February 28, 2027. (Reporter Fan Sixiang)
