On September 11, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Digital Health Working Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform (hereinafter referred to as the “TCM Digital Health Committee”) held a signing ceremony for a strategic partnership with Weishi Holdings’ “SCO Product Selection” ecosystem. Jiang Yanggang, Director of the TCM Digital Health Committee, and Shi Yini, General Manager of Weishi Holdings, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides, with key members of both management teams in attendance as witnesses. This strategic collaboration marks another pragmatic achievement for the TCM Digital Health Committee in consolidating resources and fostering synergistic development within the digital health sector of traditional Chinese medicine.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a treasured heritage of the Chinese nation and a vital symbol of health that connects China with the world. Today, as the digital economy and the greater health industry converge, TCM‑based health products are poised to seize new opportunities for brand development, digital transformation, and industrialization. The TCM Digital Health Committee, leveraging the resource network of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform, brings together cutting‑edge R&D capabilities and expert talent to advance standard‑setting and brand building in the TCM‑driven digital health sector. Meanwhile, Weishi Holdings, a specialized agency in internet marketing and e‑commerce operations, has amassed extensive expertise in new‑media management, live‑streaming promotion, influencer networks, and omnichannel sales.
This strategic partnership is guided by the principles of “complementary strengths and co‑building a thriving ecosystem.” Together, the two parties will develop the “SCO Selection” brand—endowed with both industry credibility and market influence—streamlining the entire value chain, from product selection and entry criteria to collaborative R&D, brand certification, online promotion, and omni‑channel sales. This effort will foster a sustainable ecosystem for the traditional Chinese medicine and health‑care industry, ensuring that more high‑quality, trustworthy TCM‑based health products reach a broad consumer base.
Following the signing ceremony, the two teams engaged in pragmatic discussions on specific project collaborations, thoroughly exchanging views on key priorities and implementation pathways for the next phase and reaching broad consensus, thereby laying a solid foundation for accelerating project progress. Both sides expressed their intention to take this strategic partnership as a starting point, establishing an efficient collaborative mechanism to leverage brand strength in integrating industry resources and harnessing digital and intelligent tools to invigorate market dynamics. Together, they aim to establish “Shanghe Selection” as a trusted benchmark brand in the traditional Chinese medicine and health sector, while also contributing positively to deepening exchanges and mutual learning among SCO member states in the health industry and advancing economic and trade cooperation in a more substantive and practical manner.
