Yu Fang, head of the Chongqing bureau of the International Business News, paid a visit.
Hu Kaiqiang, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese, and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, welcomed Yu Fang and her delegation.
Yu Fang provided an overview of the Chongqing bureau of the International Business Daily and shared key information from the General Office of the Ministry of Commerce regarding the launch of initiatives to establish demonstration projects for innovative development in national goods trade, services trade, and digital trade. She noted that since the platform’s establishment in Chongqing, it has served as an important bridge, fostering cooperation between Chongqing and Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states in areas such as goods trade, services trade, and digital‑trade innovation. She expressed the hope that the platform will actively participate in project applications and make further contributions to advancing the high‑quality development of Chongqing’s foreign trade.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform remains committed to upholding the “Shanghai Spirit” and is actively implementing the resolutions adopted at previous summits of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Council. Centered on the core mission of “building a new SCO ecosystem characterized by the deep integration of the digital and traditional economies,” the platform leverages industry working committees to bring together market entities of diverse ownership forms, thereby fostering an industrial‑collaborative innovation ecosystem in SCO member states led by Chinese enterprises serving as “chain‑leading” firms. This effort supports local governments in attracting investment, seeks to dismantle barriers to cooperation among enterprises with different ownership structures, and explores the establishment of “SCO standards,” laying the groundwork for a global realignment of productive forces.
