The grand symphonic piece “Ode to the Red Flag” resounded with majestic splendor, its powerful melody stirring patriotic fervor, while the orchestral work “To Our Forebears” expressed profound remembrance and solemn reverence for the revolutionary martyrs. Songs such as “Red Azaleas,” “Osmanthus Blossoms in August Across the Land,” “Ode to the Yellow River,” and “The Sky Over the Liberated Areas” revisited the sweeping panorama of unity between the military and the people during the years of revolutionary warfare, conveying the joyous spirit of hundreds of millions who follow the Party and embrace a new era. The orchestral‑choral suite “A Colorful Homeland,” comprising pieces like “Whip Cracking, Horses Rushing, Grain Carried in Hurry,” “By the Butterfly Spring,” “The Laundry Song,” “Spring Arrives in the Fields,” “I Dedicate Oil to My Motherland,” and “Sunshine Shines on Tashkurgan,” painted vivid scenes of vigorous development across all sectors during the socialist revolution and construction period, and of cadres and people of all ethnic groups working together to build their shared home. Meanwhile, the orchestral‑choral work “Fields of Hope” used a series of timeless songs to reflect the remarkable, ever‑changing transformations that have swept across China since the launch of reform and opening-up, voicing the heartfelt aspirations of the Chinese people as they join hands to realize their dreams.
