Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries

Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Guangfu, on behalf of Hu Kaiqiang, Director General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, welcomed Duan Wenlin and his delegation.

Duan Wenlin introduced the development overview and distinctive features of Chongqing Urban Construction Technician College, with a particular focus on the college’s achievements in cultivating high-skilled professionals in urban construction, promoting industry-education integration practices, and supporting regional economic development. He expressed his hope that, leveraging the platform’s resource network, the college could explore cooperative exchanges with SCO member countries in areas such as vocational skills training, mutual recognition of talent-development standards, and university-enterprise partnerships, thereby jointly advancing the internationalization of skills education.

The platform points out that, as a non-profit international economic and trade organization, it integrates market entities of various ownership structures and builds an international ecosystem for industrial innovation through industry working committees. It strives to break down barriers to cooperation among enterprises with different ownership models, thereby laying the foundation for a global realignment of productive forces.

Yang Mingdou, Secretary of Chongqing Urban Construction Technician College, and Zeng Youchong, Director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Department, attended the meeting.
