Hu Kaiqiang, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese, and Foreign Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, welcomed Mr. Dato’ Ku Yee Ann and his delegation. Vice Secretary-General Wang Jianping accompanied the meeting.
Qiu Yichang expressed his appreciation for the platform’s active role in promoting local economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges among SCO member states. At the same time, he provided an overview of NEXOVIA TERRA Co., Ltd. He noted that the company focuses on the field of AI-powered healthcare technology, leveraging data samples to provide services to businesses, and its operations have now expanded to twelve countries in Southeast Asia. The company places great importance on the enormous market opportunities presented by China and is currently actively exploring investment opportunities in sectors such as durian cultivation within China’s Hainan Free Trade Zone through financial investments. Qiu Yichang expressed his hope to strengthen communication and collaboration with the platform, using it as a springboard to further expand into markets across more SCO member states and help the company achieve its goal of international industrial expansion.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform remains committed to promoting the “Shanghai Spirit” and thoroughly implementing the resolutions adopted by the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member countries. Focusing on the core task of “building a new SCO ecosystem characterized by deep integration between the digital economy and the traditional economy,” the platform leverages industry working committees to bring together market entities of various ownership structures, thereby fostering an innovative industrial synergy ecosystem in SCO countries led by Chinese enterprises serving as “chain leaders.” This initiative supports local governments in attracting investment and seeks to break down barriers to cooperation among enterprises of different ownership types, exploring the establishment of “SCO standards” and laying the foundation for a global realignment of productive forces.
Wang Jianping chaired the symposium and introduced the platform’s innovative operational model as well as its achievements in construction and development. He focused on sharing successful cases of international cooperation involving the platform’s relevant working committees, and both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on topics of mutual concern.
Luo Wenliang, CEO of Hainan Weibi Health Technology Co., Ltd., and Liu Lanjun, City Partner, along with Chen Jinren, General Manager of Fujian Shiji Dongfang Cultural Industry Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.
