Hu Kaiqiang, Director-General of the National Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chongqing CPPCC, welcomed Li Jun and his entourage, accompanied by Secretary-General Wen Jixu and Deputy Secretary-General Wang Jianping.
Li Jun listened to the introduction of the platform construction and development, and discussed the CPPCC proposal by member Hu Kaiqiang during the two sessions in Chongqing in 2024, "Recommendations on Giving Full Play to the Role of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization National Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform to Pilot Offshore RMB Funds of Funds in Chongqing" (hereinafter referred to as "Proposal") related handling ideas and plans for work exchange.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform insists on carrying forward the "Shanghai Spirit" and deeply implements the resolutions of the SCO Heads of State Council. Focusing on the core task of "building a new ecological integration of digital economy and traditional economy", the platform promotes the construction of a national industrial collaborative innovation ecology led by "chain owners" of Chinese enterprises by integrating various ownership market entities with the industry working committee, and helps local governments to attract investment, strive to break through the barriers to cooperation between enterprises of different ownerships, explore the establishment of "Shanghai Cooperation Standards", and lay the foundation for the global redistribution of productivity.
Wen Jixu introduced the risks, challenges and opportunities in the current global economic and industrial development process in combination with the platform construction and operation mode and the contents of the proposal. He also focused on sharing the platform's role as a pilot offshore RMB parent fund, promoting the establishment of an international industrial chain "hub" industrial park, helping Chongqing to build a global innovation base for offshore trade, industry and investment, and serving Chongqing's higher level of opening-up related paths, measures and suggestions.
Li Jun sincerely appreciated the platform's open innovation concept and broad international vision. She said that the financial office of the municipal Party committee attaches great importance to the platform innovation and development mode and the relevant proposals of Hu Kaiqiang, and will actively promote relevant subjects to carry out special research around the implementation of the proposals, so as to make positive contributions to Chongqing's construction of an international financial center in Western China.
The Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Finance Office coordinated the participation of Su Xiaolei, a cadre, and Zhou Minghao, director of the General Department of Chongqing Equity Investment Fund Association.
