The International Industry and City Commission held a seminar on the master plan of the Mongolian "New Hara and Forest City" international competition.

Recently, Wu Shaobo, chairman of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization National Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform International Industry and City Investment and Construction Working Committee (hereinafter referred to as "Platform Industry and City Committee"), presided over a symposium on the overall planning of the Mongolian "New Hara and Forest City" international competition, I listened to the reports on the planning and design and the next work plan from the project team of Chongqing University Architectural Planning and Design Research Institute, Chongqing Yao Kun Engineering Management Consulting Co., Ltd., and Chongqing University School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
At the seminar, based on the "Overall Development Plan for the Reconstruction of the Ancient City of Hara and Lincheng", the participants spoke successively from the aspects of urban planning, industrial development, history and culture, and sustainable development. It is believed that the reconstruction of Hala and Lin is a major practice under the long-term strategic plan of Mongolia's "New Revival Policy", which aims to promote Mongolia's new economic development, improvement of people's livelihood and international influence.
After listening carefully to the speech of the project team, Wu Shaobo, as the general consultant of the project, pointed out that the project team should fully respect and excavate the historical culture and national characteristics of Mongolia, combine the local environmental resources, spatial elements and functional requirements, and adhere to the concept of high-quality development to do a good job in the strategic positioning, urban planning and industrial layout of "New Hara and Lincheng. He stressed that Mongolia's national history and culture are the soul, modern industry and urban development are the skeleton, and the people-oriented concept of urban construction is meat. The project team should combine the actual situation of Mongolia and the needs of modern urban development, and strive to hand over a qualified answer sheet that can stand the test of modern and historical tests.
Zhou Zhiwei, Yang Liu, Xu Jianfeng, Tan Wenyong, Hu Fang, Lian Xiong, Guo Wenjun, Deputy Chairman of the Industry and City Committee Shi Yinghua, Secretariat Chen Long, Wu Rui, and relevant personnel of Yao Kun Company attended the seminar.
In 2022, the President of Mongolia announced Decree No. 230 "Reconstructing Hala and Lam. After the presidential decree was issued, the Mongolian parliament issued resolution No. 07 in 2025, which will establish "Hala Helin New City" in the Erhun River Valley ". At present, the Platform Industry and City Committee is invited by Mongolia to participate in this international competition on urban planning.
