Ran Meijuan, Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee of the Western Smart Healthcare Conference, paid a visit.
Deputy Secretary-General Liu Jie, on behalf of Hu Kaiqiang, Director-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s Multifunctional Economic and Trade Platform and Deputy Director of the Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Affairs, and Foreign Affairs of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, extended a warm welcome to Ran Meijuan and her delegation.
Ran Meijuan stated that since its inaugural edition in 2022, the Western Smart Healthcare Conference has deeply cultivated the smart healthcare sector, with content spanning cutting-edge areas such as healthcare IT, AI‑plus‑healthcare, and the integration of clinical data and intelligence. The conference has received strong support from government departments at all levels, industry organizations, universities, academic experts, and technology companies, and has become a highly influential industry event in China’s central and western regions. Currently, the conference is advancing a regional expansion strategy, with Chongqing identified as a key target for its next phase of implementation. It is hoped that closer collaboration with the platform will help propel the internationalization of China’s high‑quality healthcare industry.
We note that, as a non‑profit international economic and trade organization, the platform brings together market entities of diverse ownership forms and establishes industry working committees to foster an international ecosystem for industrial innovation. It seeks to dismantle barriers to cooperation among enterprises with different ownership structures, thereby laying the groundwork for a global realignment of productive forces.
Jiang Yanggang, Director of the Digital Intelligence Health Working Committee of the platform; Gong Ting, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Communication Branch of the China International Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology; Zhang Xiang, Vice President of the Hebei Provincial Institute of Medical, Healthcare, and Rehabilitation Facilities Industry Technology and Vice President of the Xi’an Medical Device Association; Qin Yuexin, from the Organizing Committee of the Western Smart Healthcare Conference, and others attended the event.
