List of Foreign Leaders and Heads of International Organizations Invited to Attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit Announced

The 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1. This will be the fifth time China hosts the SCO Summit and the largest summit since the organization's establishment. Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Liu Bin introduced at a briefing with Chinese and foreign media on August 22 that President Xi Jinping will meet with more than 20 foreign leaders and 10 heads of international organizations by the Haihe River, summarizing the SCO's successful experiences, outlining the development blueprint of the SCO, consolidating the cooperation consensus of the "SCO family," and promoting the organization to stride forward towards building a closer community with a shared future.
Foreign leaders invited to attend the summit include Belarusian President Lukashenko, Indian Prime Minister Modi, Iranian President Raeisi, Kazakh President Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Japarov, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz, Russian President Putin, Tajik President Rahmon, Uzbek President Mirziyoyev, Mongolian President Khurelsukh, Azerbaijani President Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, Maldivian President Muiz, Nepalese Prime Minister Oli, Turkish President Erdogan, Egyptian Prime Minister Madbouly, Turkmen President Berdimuhamedov, Indonesian President Prabowo, Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee General Secretary and State President Thongloun, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, among others.
Heads of international organizations and multilateral mechanisms invited to attend the summit include United Nations Secretary-General Guterres, SCO Secretary-General Yermekbayev, Executive Committee Director of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure Sharsheyev, CIS Secretary-General Lebedev, ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn, CSTO Secretary-General Tasmagambetov, Secretary-General of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program Asad Khan, ASEM Secretary-General Sarebay, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Saginatayev, and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank President Jin Liqun.
