Vice Secretary-General Wang Jianping, on behalf of the Director-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's multifunctional economic and trade platform and Vice Chairman of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's Committee on Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Affairs and Foreign Affairs, Hu Kaiqiang, welcomed Zeng Fang and her delegation.
Zeng Fang introduced the construction, development, and achievements of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She noted that in recent years, the university has established a Traditional Chinese Medicine center in Tajikistan and actively participated in international platforms such as the "SCO Medical University Alliance" and the "Yangtze River-Volga River University Alliance." It has also established extensive cooperation with universities in Russia, Tajikistan, and other countries, laying a solid foundation for further deepening international cooperation. She expressed hope that by leveraging the platform's resources and channels, the cooperation on traditional and precision medicine among SCO member states could be continuously promoted, working together to build a SCO community of health and well-being.
The platform stated that, as a non-profit international economic and trade organization, it integrates market entities of various ownership structures through industry working committees to build an international ecosystem of industrial innovation. It strives to break down cooperation barriers between enterprises of different ownership structures and lay the foundation for the global re-layout of productivity.
Attendees included Zhang Dingkun, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Department of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; Shu Wei, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department; Da Ya, from the platform's project development department; Li Xia, Secretary-General of the Precision Medicine Innovation Working Committee; and Zhang Chunguo, a council member.
