Lu Yongkai introduced the basic situation of the national Mengzi Economic Development Zone and the Honghe Comprehensive Insurance Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "two zones") in terms of location advantages, resource advantages, industrial foundation, and business environment. He said that the Honghe Comprehensive Bonded Zone is the first comprehensive bonded zone approved in Yunnan Province. It is an important node in the country's "One Belt, One Road" construction and an important frontier for Yunnan's construction of a radiation center for South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is an important channel for China to reach ASEAN by land. It is a regional comprehensive transportation hub connecting central Yunnan in the north and south to ASEAN, the Kunman Grand Corridor in the west, and the east. At present, we are focusing on the relevant instructions and requirements of the provinces and states on the high-quality economic and industrial development of the two regions, continuing to expand the leading industries, focusing on promoting industrial clusters, and actively building gateway ports for Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific. We hope to strengthen exchanges with the platform, give full play to the advantages of the two regions, actively integrate into the joint construction of "Belt and Road Initiative", and explore new models and paths for the high-quality development of an open economy.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the platform insists on carrying forward the "Shanghai Spirit" and deeply implements the resolutions of the SCO Heads of State Council. Focusing on the core task of "building a new ecological integration of digital economy and traditional economy", the platform promotes the construction of a collaborative innovation ecology of SCO national industries led by China's leading enterprises by integrating various ownership market entities with the industry working committee, and helps local governments to attract investment, strive to break through the barriers of cooperation between enterprises of different ownerships and lay the foundation for the global redistribution of productivity. We are willing to work with the Honghe Comprehensive Bonded Zone to explore innovative models for the coordinated development of international economic and trade organizations and local governments to create landmark cooperation results.
Deputy Secretary-General Liu Jie presided over the symposium and introduced the platform's innovative operation mode and construction and development achievements, focusing on sharing successful cases of international cooperation of the relevant working committees of the platform.
